Officers with the Swainsboro Police Department (SPD) reported…

September 21

Officers responded to a McMillen Dr. residence in reference to a incident concerning a group of juveniles who were said to have vandalized the said address with a paintball gun. Upon further investigation, officers discovered that the residence along with two parked vehicles had been struck with several paint balls, and two of which had struck the interior of the living room wall of the residence. Complainant believes this to be part of a homecoming ritual.

Officer observed a vehicle with a crack in the windshield from one side to another and performed a traffic stop. Officer informed the offender that he could not operate his vehicle with the windshield like that. Offender was issued a citation for view obstruction and vehicle was towed.

Officer responded to Sunset Inn in reference to a simple battery incident.

Officer was patrolling he area of McLeod Bridge Rd. when a vehicle passed him and officer was alerted by his tag reader that the vehicle was unregistered. Officer then conducted a traffic stop to find the driver had suspended license.

Officer was finishing up a call on William St. when a complainant went up to him and stated she had been jumped on.

Officer was dispatched to a Racetrack St. address in reference to complainant stating offender took her keys, and has flattened her tires before and wanted to file a PO.

September 22

Officer received a call to respond to Happiness Dr. in reference to a domestic dispute.

Officer was dispatched in reference to a male subject that had a bench warrant.

Officer went to Sunset Inn in reference to a female subject that had a warrant.

Officer took a walk-in report of complainant and witness stating they were at MFC and complainant asked offender about his daughter’s paint job on her car and he became irate, cussing and threatening him.

Officer was patrolling the area of E. Main St. when his tag reader alerted him of an expired registration. Officer conducted a traffic to find that the driver’s license were expired and there was no valid insurance on the vehicle.

Officer responded to S&N Auto in reference to a stolen trailer. After checking the security cameras, a white male is seen entering the property, backing up to the trailer, cutting the chain with bolt cutters. hooking the trailer up to his truck, and leaving the parking lot.

September 23

Officers were dispatched to King Cir. in reference to a dispute.

Officer responded to W. MLK Blvd. in reference to criminal trespassing. Complainant stated the screen latch was broken, bot there were no signs of forced entry.

Officer was traveling on N. Coleman St. behind a vehicle and was alerted that the vehicle had suspended registration and no valid insurance. Officer initiated a traffic stop to find the driver’s license were expired.

Officer responded to EMC ER in reference to a possible simple battery. Upon arrival, officer met with complainant who stated she had a physical altercation with a mother female and she fell to the floor and a piece of glass cut her knee.

September 24

Officer observed a vehicle traveling on N. Coleman St. driven by an individual that the officer was aware that her drivers license were suspended and that SPD had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear. Officer initiated a traffic stop to find that the driver’s license were suspended.

Officer was assisting GSP on a license check when a vehicle came through. The driver’s license were suspended for failure to appear.

Officer responded to the assist GSP with an illegal drug case on Norwood Ave. and E. Pine St. Upon arrival, officer made contact with GSP who stated that during a road check he came into contact with the offender who was found to be operating his vehicle without being properly restrained. GSP requested consent to search the vehicle, which was allowed, and GSP located a foil-type bag stuffed in a hole in the seat and also two plastic bags containing marijuana. Inside the foil-type bag was five more bags of marijuana, which lead officers to believe offender had the intent to distribute.

Officer was dispatched to a Mitchell St. residence in reference to a damaged door. Complainant stated she believes someone tried to break in her residence, causing damage to the wood on the door frame.

Officer was traveling Tiger Trail when alerted that a vehicle came back with no insurance.
