Officers with the Swainsboro Police Department (SPD) reported…

November 28

Officer was dispatched to Walmart in reference to shoplifting. Officer met with complainant who stated that offender shoplifted by not scanning some items and changing price tags on jeans to scan them for a lower price. Offender admitted to doing this and apologized. Offender was arrested and transported to the Emanuel County Jail and charged with shoplifting first offense.

Officer was dispatched to Ralph Smith Place in reference to a homeowner finding a broken window. On arrival officer met with c/p who stated that he was working on the home when he noticed the rear bathroom window busted. There was nothing missing from the home.

Officer observed a man asleep in a vehicle with the door open. Offender was arrested for possession less than one ounce of marijuana.

November 29

Officer was dispatched to SPD in reference to a report. Officer spoke with c/p who stated that she discovered her firearm missing from her gun box.

Officer was dispatched to East Meadowlake Parkway in reference to a report. C/p stated that one of the UPS vehicles catalytic converter had been cut but had been welded back together.

Officer received a phone call where c/p stated that his life and property was being threatened by offender.

Officer conducted a traffic stop where offender ended up being arrested for theft be receiving stolen property, DUI, and driving while unlicensed.

November 30

Officer met with c/p at SPD in reference to a lost tag. C/p stated that his tag was allegedly mailed to his residence on November 1, but has yet to come.

Officer met with c/p at SPD in reference to a report. C/p advised that she has an employee who allegedly calls her mother during the work day complaining about her job. The mother then contacts the business with different threats about coming to the location and disrupting the workplace.

Officers were dispatched to the Roses parking lot for a domestic that occurred at this location between a male subject and an employee. C/p stated that her husband showed up at her job and when she walked away from him, he struck her in the back of the head. Offender was placed under arrest for simple battery family violence.
