Officers with the Swainsboro Police Department (SPD) reported…

October 15

Officers were dispatched in reference to an individual inside of the store recording. The male who was recording stated he did not know how to turn it off when asked why he was recording. The female working there stated she felt he was casing the place to Rob it. She was told she could have asked the man to leave. 

October 16

Officers were dispatched in reference to a vehicle being broken into. The female stated she locked her car but the next morning found he purse dumped out and the driver’s door was unlocked. She stated that her envelope with $700 in it was missing, but nothing else seemed to be missing. 

Officers were dispatched in reference to a criminal trespass. The male picked up his Child and returned to the home previously, and went back today and knocked and entered. The male stated he was unaware he was not welcome in the home at this time. 

Officers placed a female under arrest for shoplifting. She produced an itemized receipt for items she did not pay for. 

Officers were dispatched in reference to a domestic in progress. The couple allowed a male over and he went outside and came back in and had a completely different attitude and was asked to leave. He knocked over the end table and damaged the wall, then fled on foot. 

Officers were dispatched in reference to a dispute. A woman stated she was charging her phone when the home owners younger brother exposed himself to her. The female went to a different room and informed the home owner, but he did not seem concerned. The home owner stated that all he saw was the female hitting on his brother. She was asked to leave the residence. The brother stated that the female was asking for him to do such sexual things and that she got mad because she demanded he pay her for sex. She was informed she could have left and called 911 if she wasn’t being held against her will to be there. 

October 17

Officers were dispatched in reference to a verbal altercation due to a male being upset about the female’s family talking down to him and he was asked to leave. 

Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle stopped halfway in the road. The officer ran their tag and discovered they had no insurance and the vehicle was unregistered. The driver’s license is suspended as well. 

Officers were dispatched in reference to damaged property. The male came beating on the door demanding to see his child, but was told to leave and go home because it was almost midnight. He beat on the Childs window until the glass busted. The male stated “You won’t be able to stay here” and then left on foot. 

Officers were dispatched in reference to a fire inside of the residence. The mother stated she lit her chair on fire because it was her chair. The mother wanted her daughter evicted and was tired of her lies. The mother set the chair on fire with her daughter sitting in it. She did not care to hear what the officer had to say about the eviction process. 

October 18

Officers were called in reference to an unknown person entering his mother’s car and stealing two of his firearms. 

October 19

Officers conducted a traffic stop and the male jumped out of his vehicle stating “You didn’t catch me driving, I wasn’t driving”. His license was revoked and he was placed under arrest. 

Officers were dispatched in reference to an act of violence that previously occurred. An unwanted person was attempting to enter the home and locked out, so they broke the glass out of the front door to gain access to the lock. They also tried to take the child from the residence hands and they began hitting each other. 

October 20

Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and discovered that the driver’s license was suspended. She was arrested and transported to jail. 

October 21

Officer conducted a traffic stop for tag issues and no insurance. Driver stated she had insurance, but she was unable to pull it up for proof. She was issued for no insurance and operating an unregistered vehicle. 

Officers were dispatched in reference to a domestic dispute reported by a neighbor. The offender reported that the male stated that cocaine relaxed him, but he stated that she became angry and struck him in the mouth with her hand and busted his lip. He broke the window after tossing the iPad harder than he anticipated. He left over night and came back later to gather some of his belongings and the female began to strike him again. He did not hit her back, but blocked her attacks. The female states he was on drugs and jumped out of bed and started calling her names and that his emotional state was all over the place.
