Officers with the Swainsboro Police Department (SPD) reported…

 October 6

Officers were dispatched in reference to several unauthorized persons fishing in the pond. 

Officers were dispatched in reference to criminal trespassing. The vehicle was parked, no damage or missing items, doors were locked and they keys were in the owner’s possession. The owner stated he heard the door shut in the middle of the night and the vehicle appeared to be about three feet further north than when it was parked. The motor in his vehicle blew several days after the event. 

Officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle going 62 MPH in a 45 MPH zone. The driver stated his lawyer was trying to resolve some issues that came about with his license while he was in prison. The officer checked the driver’s pockets and found a cigarette pack with a glass pipe and a small yellow bag with suspected methamphetamine inside. The male was transported to jail. 

Officers were dispatched in reference to a man stating he left his laptop in an apartment, but it was not found there and he does not know the model type or serial number. 

Officers were dispatched in reference to a male walking behind her harassing her. Stating, “I got something for you.”

October 7

Officers were dispatched in reference to a stolen vehicle report. The complainant stated that it was a stolen postal vehicle, the vehicle was located right down the road. 

Officers were dispatched in reference to a female in the store who has previously shoplifted and the manager asked for her to be escorted out. 

October 8

Officers were dispatched in reference to shots being fired the night before. Shell casings were taken in as evidence. 

Officers were dispatched in reference to a domestic dispute. The offender had a broken window. It was said that the father of the woman children pushed her down and punched her in the face twice. There was a video of a verbal argument recorded and shown to the officer. 

Officers were dispatched in reference to a cart collector machine being bumped and dinging into a vehicle in a parking lot of a local store. 

Officer conducted a traffic stop due to not stopping at a stop sign, but the officer noticed the smell of marijuana when the vehicle was pulled over. The driver stated she did not have any marijuana in the vehicle, but the drug force dog was brought out and they found a small bottle containing a green leafy substance. 

Officers were dispatched in reference to someone sending threatening text over twenty dollars he owes the person. The male stated he was going to kill him and he better hope they don’t see each other, The male was confirmed and talked to, but he stated he never threatened him or anyone else. 

October 9

Officers were dispatched in reference to a male harassing several people. He was arrested and charged by another complainant. 

Officers were dispatched in reference to a domestic disturbance by neighbor. Due to multiple reports made, the neighbor was arrested for disorderly conduct. 

Officers were dispatched in reference to a mail carrier stating while on the delivery route she was bit on her hip. The owner of the dog was given a citation for the dog at large. 

Officers were dispatched in reference to an assault in a club. The male stated he was burned on the back of his neck with a cigarette and then punched in the face. 

Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and then smelled the odor of alcohol on the driver. His license was suspended for DUI and child support. He was placed under arrest. 

Officers were dispatched in reference to shots fired, officers went to check out the area and found/heard nothing. 

Officers were dispatched in reference to the complainant stating that the offender came to her residence yesterday accusing her of being the reason she got arrested and stating “Ima kill you and them kids”. She was banging on their door and bedroom window.

October 10

Officers were dispatched in reference to a female stating she had arm pain from a previous altercation with an ex-boyfriend.

Officers were dispatched in reference to a damaged cell phone and a domestic situation between two parents who are no longer together.

October 11

Officers were dispatched in reference to an individual yelling and being irate. The father went to daycare to pick up his child, but the mothers orders were for the child to not be released to him. The father threw a cup from his car at his ex-wife’s car and left the scene. The father showed back up, very irate and demanding to get his child. The daycare worker informed him that she was advised that they just went through a divorce and she was to one release the child to the mother. The father grabbed a kitchen knife from his front seat of his car and held it by the window stating he would die for his kids and then drove off. 

Officers were dispatched in reference to a missing juvenile, she reappeared about 30 minutes before the officers arrived. The grandmother pulled up with her in the vehicle.

Officers were dispatched in reference to a burglary that was caught on camera at an earlier time. 

October 12

Officers were dispatched in reference to a disorderly customer calling and complaining that she did not get a spoon/fork with her mean. She as being belligerent and cussing. After the officers arrived, she stated that she wanted her refund and that she wanted to talk to the Chief because she worked for the City for 18 years. She was given a criminal trespass form, but she refused to sign it. 

Officers were dispatched in reference to a man walking through someone’s yard and asking for a blanket. He appeared intoxicated and just wanted to lay foes somewhere. The male stated he had a blanket and had not gone to anyone’s house asking for anything. 

Officers were dispatched in reference to a verbal dispute about a vehicle. The male stated that the other male was cursing and telling him to leave the location and “go get his gun”.

October 13

Officers were dispatched in reference to a customer at a local restaurant trying to pay for dinner with a counterfeit $100 bill. 

Officers were dispatched in reference to a man stating he paid a man $6,500.00 as a down payment to do some construction on his house, the man took the money and left the work incomplete for weeks now. He has spoken with him, but has had an excuse as to why he couldn’t come every time. 

October 14

Officers were dispatched in reference to a domestic in progress. A woman sitting in the driveway in distress stated her husband grabbed her by the neck and pulled her from the vehicle then hit her in the mouth. She stated they were legally married, but separated. The husband was being very negative and charging towards the offender shouting. 

Officers were dispatched in reference to a missing car tag. 

Officers were dispatched in reference to a domestic dispute. The female barged in yelling and hitting her while she had her 10-month-old child in her arms. She grabbed her phone and shattered it on the floor. The offender left red marks on the front of the victim’s jawline and neck. The roommate stated he was on the scene but did not witness anything, only heard fighting.
