September 24

Officer conducted a traffic stop and the driver’s license was suspended. She was placed under arrest and transported to jail. 

Officer met with complainant who stated that a female has been harassing her and her family. This all started with the female’s daughter and the complainant’s daughter got into a fight at school. The girls handled the situation at school and are okay now, but her mother will not let it go. 

Officers were dispatched in reference to an irate customer that was in a verbal dispute. One of the employee’s mother showed up to help defend her daughter. The daughter called her mother crying because she was being harassed by two of her coworkers. Their manager and the officers handled the situation. 

Complainant went to the police department to file a report because his wife took out a TPO on him but she keeps following him and trying to talk to him. He thinks she may be trying to get him in trouble for violating the TPO. 

September 25

Officer stopped a vehicle due to not coming to a complete stop at a stop sign. The officer informed the driver that his brake light was also broken. The male stated he was coming from church and that he is trying to get his life right and he had been helping a food drive. The male was asked to step out of the vehicle and was asked if there were any drugs or weapons. He stated there were none on him or in the car and that the officer can search. The officer called for backup and then proceeded to search the male subject’s car. The officer found a white rock substance believed to be crack cocaine inside of a cup in the cupholder. The male was arrested and transported to jail. 

September 26

Officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop and the driver got out and ran into the woods. The officer took off after him, but was unable to find him, even with back up. They found a hat that belonged to him. The officer reached out to the owner of the car and took them into the police department for questioning. The male stated he wasn’t driving and that hat was his brother in laws and he was trying to cover for him, but he could go get him. He brought his brother-in-law back to the police department. He stated that he had drank earlier that day and didn’t want to get in trouble so he ran. He was charged with headlight requirements, taillight requirements, expired registration, driving with suspended license, and obstructing law enforcement officers. 

September 27

Officers were dispatched in reference to an unwanted male at the location. The male was at the location to obtain a check from working there in May 2021, and he stated he has been trying to get his check since then. The male was very irritated and was using vulgar language. The manager stated it was due to the Male not turning in proper paperwork. The male was served with a criminal trespass warning for that location, but was informed of legal routes to take with his check. 

September 28

Officer initiated a traffic stop, the registration and the tag on the vehicle did not match the vehicle. The driver stated he put the tag on the vehicle just to test drive it after he has done repairs to it. The officer gave him citations for no insurance and improper plates. The driver was able to contact the insurance company to obtain valid insurance before completion of the traffic stop to spare a tow bill.

Officers were dispatched in reference to a caller stating she needed to report her neighbor’s dog biting her. The female who owned the dog was able to provide proof of rabies, but was cited for dogs at large. 

Officers were dispatched in reference to a female screaming and breaking things in an apartment. The female stated she was acting like such because her boyfriend hit her. There were no noticeable injuries and she was in the apartment alone. She was very intoxicated and smelled of alcohol. The officer asked her for her ID and she stated she did not have one. The officer asked her for her name and date of birth, the female gave the incorrect information to the officer twice. The officer asked her why she gave him the wrong information and she stated she did not know why. She was handcuffed and taken to jail for providing false information. The manager of the apartments stated this is a frequent occurrence when this specific tenant drinks and that she gets multiple complaints from other tenants. 

Officer was patrolling the streets when he observed a vehicle with an expired decal, he performed a traffic stop on the vehicle. The driver’s license came back suspended and the driver stated he was transitioning from New York to here and had no idea how or why they were suspended. He was cited for driving while license suspended and given a warning for expired registration.
