The staff member of the year award is a prestigious award created to recognize a staff member who has exemplified excellence in their day-to-day job, as well as contributed in other ways to make Southeastern Technical College a success during the past year. The award is given to an employee of the College who is neither a faculty member nor a member of the Executive Council. Benefits include a cash award from the STC Foundation, an engraved plaque, and a designated parking space to use throughout 2021.
Congratulations to Southeastern Technical College’s 2021 Staff Member of the Year, Valerie Ennis, Admissions Assistant!
Ennis said, “Admissions is the face of STC. It is an applicant's first impression of the College; therefore, attitude, warmth, and customer service are crucial to making a connection with applicants and promoting a positive image for STC. I feel that I embody these attributes and contribute to the positive, caring, student-oriented first impression that STC is known for. I could not be included in a more deserving finalist group and I am honored to be associated with the current nominees, former nominees, and previous winners. These are individuals that model the positive, caring, supportive, and family-orientated work environment of which I am proud to be a member.”
The 2021 finalists were Valerie Ennis, Admissions Assistant, Gina Robison, Dean of Business Technologies and Human Services, and Melanie Walker, Student Navigator/VA Specialist/Financial Aid.
