Solomon Edger Wiggins, 84

Mr. Solomon Edger Wiggins, 84, of Swainsboro, passed away Friday, October 15, 2021, at his residence following an extended illness. Funeral services were held Monday, October 18, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend Steve Dowless and Reverend Wayne Wiggins officiating. Interment followed in the Old Canoochee Baptist Church Cemetery. The family received friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, October 17, at Chapman Funeral Home.  

Pallbearers were Asa Garrett, Jimmy Lee Archie, Hugh Johnson, Steven Johnson, Glenn Grimes, and Harry Dean Wiggins. Honorary Pallbearers were Pete Boatright and Men of Swainsboro Freewill Baptist Church

Mr. Wiggins was born September 21, 1937, in Swainsboro, to the late Edger Wiggins and Bessie Moring Wiggins. He retired from Custom Furniture after more than 40 years. Mr. Wiggins enjoyed watching Westerns and working in the yards, and loved spending time with his great-grandchildren. He was a member of Swainsboro Freewill Baptist Church. Mr. Wiggins is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Alice Fulmore Wiggins; son, Joel Wiggins; and sister, Georgia Mae Sconyers.

Survivors include his son, Jeff (Sue) Wiggins of Swainsboro; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Tiffany) Wiggins of Kite, Belinda (Chris) Clifton of LaSalle, IL, and Cheyenne (Josh) Hall of Swainsboro; great-grandchildren, Alexis Kelley, Savannah Wiggins, Madison Wiggins, Olivia Wiggins, Kaylie Clifton, Brittany Clifton, Hunter Clifton, Alyssa Hall, J. J. Hall, Gracie Hall, and Joshlynn Hall; brother, Reverend Wayne (Charlene) Wiggins of Carrolton; sister-in-law, Becky (Mike) Watson; brother-in-law, Gary (Cindy) Meeks; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
