Last week, Swainsboro Police Department announced the capture of Roger Smith a.k.a. Buck Wheat of Twin City. A warrant for aggravated assault charges was issued for Smith by the department for his involvement in a shooting that took place on May 13 on in Swainsboro.
According Swainsboro Police Chief Randy Ellison, an anonymous tip was received by the police department that led to his arrest. Smith was located at an apartment complex in Richmond County where he attempted to hide his body from law enforcement. Smith was apprehended without incident. More information on this case will be released as it is received.
