Swainsboro High School track teams competed in the Sectional meet on Saturday, May 6. The sectionals comprised the best team performers from regions 1, 2, 3 and 5. The event took place at East Laurens High School. The participants competed to qualify for the state championship to be held at Historic Barron Stadium – Maddox Track in Rome, GA, on May 11 to May 13. Swainsboro was well represented in the girls’ and boys' groups and will have several athletes participating in the state meet.
