Swainsboro Varsity Tigers traveled to Statesboro Friday, September 3, for some football action against hosting team – the Blue Devils. The Tigers returned home with a win over the Statesboro team, the final score being 15-10.
The Swainsboro varsity team added Tiger points to the scoreboard during the first quarter of the game, leading 7-0.
The Blue Devils scored three points in the second quarter and took the lead over the Tiger team in the third quarter by scoring a touchdown. The score was 7-10.
The Blue Devil’s offense failed to add more points to the scoreboard during the final quarter, but the Tigers stayed fueled for a win and scored 8 more points in the fourth quarter for a Tiger win.
