SHS celebrates Homecoming

Swainsboro High School celebrates Homecoming this week with a “Roadtrip to Homecoming.” Dress up days include “Tropic Like It’s Hot (Hawaii) on Monday, “Let the Good Times Roll” (Mardi Gras) on Tuesday, “Victory is Under Construction” (roadwork) on Wednesday, “Blame It All on our Roots” (Texas) on Thursday, and “Home Sweet Home” (black and gold) spirit day on Friday.

Each grade level selected students to represent their class on the Homecoming Court. They are Quinia Boynton and Yasmin Rios for ninth grade, Akira Marion and Di’Mya Snelling for tenth grade, and Jocie Hendrix and Jordan Wadley-Gardner for eleventh grade.

Four senior girls and four senior boys will vie for the title of Homecoming King and Queen. Boys are Ty Adams, Jayson Brown, Ozzie Gonzalez, and Nauseen Hall. Girls are Chasity Adams, Morgan Green, Ja’Naiya Linder, and Brianna Parks. Crowning will take place at halftime during Friday’s game against Jeff Davis.
