Sharon Denise Stanford-Pitts, age 54, passed away Friday, October 1, 2021. Graveside services were held Saturday, October 9, at 11 a.m. at Swainsboro City Cemetery with Minister Guy Akins presiding and Elder Alexander Worthen officiating.

Sharon was born January 21, 1967, to Naomi Hackett and the late Willie Lee Scott. She enjoyed working as a counselor at Liberty Center for Battered Women in Duval County in Jacksonville, FL. Ms. Pitts is preceded in death by her father; and brother, Eric Scott.

Ms. Pitts leaves to mourn her memories with her son, Demetri Stanford of New Mexico; two daughters, Laportia (Andrew) Mosley and Paris (Dexter) Renfroe, both of Statesboro; three sisters, Donna (Termetrius) Gardner and Jennifer (Sirron) Terry, both of Swainsboro, and Crystal (Jarvis) Williams of Orlando, FL; three brothers, Michael Stanford of Milledgeville, Craig Stanford of Baltimore, MD, and Tony Hackett of Swainsboro; three step-brothers, Gary (Shiwandica) Hackett, Mitchell Hackett, and Tyson (Darlene) Hackett, all of Swainsboro; one step-sister, Chernesia (Michael) Jackson of Swainsboro; three grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
