The October 2019 term of the Emanuel County Grand Jury reconvened December 12, 2019 and considered 6 bills of indictment presented by the district attorney’s office. The grand jurors returned true bills for all cases. These true bills were as follows:
Jerel Akil Bostic and Da’Korey Damon Somerville — one count felony murder, one count violation of Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act, one count armed robbery, one count aggravated assault, and one count possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Ryan Elbert Rodrreguez, also known as Ryan Elbert Bowling — one count escape.
Jeffery Don Jackson — one count possession of cocaine, one count suspended license, and one count driving the wrong way on a one-way roadway.
Johnny Frank Reese — one count aggravated assault and four counts third-degree cruelty to children.
Tony David Peebles — one count aggravated assault.
Willie Herman Williamson — theft by taking.
There being no further business, the grand jury recessed.
