The Swainsboro-Emanuel County Parks and Recreation Department received the 2022 GRPA District 1 Agency of the Year Award for agencies serving 20,001 - 50,000 people. The presentation was made at the 2022 GRPA D1 Awards and Installation Banquet October 10 in Statesboro. The annual award is presented to the agency that has made significant contributions in the area of leisure services to their communities. The agency must also be active in GRPA activities at the district and state level.
