Over 3,573 Weber State University students applied for graduation and were honored during the 157th commencement ceremonies, Dec. 17.

"Graduation is the most exciting time at Weber State University, as it marks the pinnacle of a successful educational journey," said President Brad Mortensen. "I congratulate each graduate for going ever upward toward a college degree and succeeding. Your success is Weber State's success."

Graduates from both summer and fall semesters were recognized. The most popular majors were nursing, professional sales, computer science, criminal justice and medical laboratory sciences.

Each college held individual commencement ceremonies for their graduates and had different speakers during their programs. All ceremonies were held in person with an option to watch online.

The ceremonies were held at various times throughout the day primarily at the Val A. Browning Center and the Dee Events Center.

All graduates attending college commencement ceremonies received pewter die-cast medallions with the presidential seal in honor of their hard work and achievements. Diplomas will arrive in the mail once final grades have been submitted and degrees have been processed.
