Rosa Mae Johnson, age 84, passed away Friday, September 3, 2021. Graveside service was held Sunday, September 9, at 11 a.m. at Swainsboro City Cemetery with Pastor James Middleton as eulogist.
Rosa was born July 25, 1937, in Emanuel County, the youngest to David Sanders and Rodessa Sanders. She always had a genuine concern for others which allowed her to be a caregiver throughout the course of her life. Rose nourished people around her with her love and faith. She loved the Lord. Rosa had an unwavering faith in God and was worshipped at Faith Ministries in Dublin. In addition to caring for others, she worked alongside her parents on the farm. Rosa loved to sew and sing gospel songs. She was the wife of the late Deacon Robert “RJ” Johnson. Over the course of their marriage, they had three children. Ms. Johnson is preceded in death by her husband; and daughter, Barbara Wade.
Ms. Johnson is survived by her daughter, Diane Clark (John); son, Jerry Johnson; son-in-law, Willie B. Wade; god-daughter, Lessie Williams; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
