Mr. Ronnie Lee Watson, 63, of Swainsboro, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2022, at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin following an extended illness. Funeral services were held at 12 p.m. Saturday, July 30, in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend Jerry Armstrong officiating. Interment followed in Swainsboro City Cemetery. The family received friends from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. Saturday, July 30, at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Mr. Watson’s nephews.
Mr. Watson was born February 14, 1959, in Swainsboro, to Purvis Watson and Lillie Williams Watson. He was always respectful and always wanted to take care of everyone. Mr. Watson loved Atlanta Falcons, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was retired from the U. S. Army. Mr. Watson is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Betty Watson.
Mr. Watson is survived by his wife, Margaret Watson of Swainsboro; children, Sada Watson and Ronnie “Jaquez” Watson, Jr. (Kasheema), both of Swainsboro, Yasmin Watson of Sandersville, Tybee Haddock of Idaho, Trey Somerville and Justice Somerville, both of Swainsboro; brother, James Watson (Ann) of Swainsboro; sister, Hattie Parker (Willie) of Swainsboro; 11 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
