Ronald Wayne Grimes, II, 51, of Cumming, formerly of Emanuel County, died Monday, September 13, 2021, at Northside Hospital in Cumming. Graveside service was held Friday, September 17, at 5 p.m. in Old Canoochee Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Elder Mike Gray Officiating. The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, September 16, at the home of Pam and Joey Pittman in Metter.
Ronald was born in Swainsboro on December 18, 1969, to Brenda Hayslip Grimes Sheldon and the late Ronald Wayne Grimes. He was a 1988 graduate of ECI, and a veteran of the United States Navy, having served in Desert Storm as a Seabee. Ronald was an IT Tech and worked at AutomationDirect in Cumming. He was a 3rd Degree Mason and a member of Oriental Masonic Lodge F&AM #20. Ronald loved to play golf, and loved the Georgia Bulldogs. He also enjoyed comic books, computer games, and riding motorcycles, especially his Harley. Mr. Grimes is preceded in death by his father; and his dog, Violet.
Surviving is his mother and step-father; partner in life, Jennifer Biles Mallett of Cumming; sister Pam (Joey) Pittman of Metter; brother, Jason (Jenny) Grimes of Metter; Isabella Intidam of Cumming, who was like a daughter to him; Robynne Intidam of Cumming, who was like a granddaughter to him; his step-mother, Kathy Jordan of Twin City; and nieces and nephews, Roslyn Pittman, Joseph Pittman, Gracie Grimes, and Agatha Grimes.
Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter was in charge of arrangements.
