Robert Smith Brown, 67, resident of Twin City, died Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at Emanuel Medical Center after an extended illness. Funeral services were held Friday, September 3, at 11 a.m. from Hines Baptist Church with Reverend Darrell Weaver officiating. The family received friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were Kevin Strange, Nicky Drake, Henry Fulghum, Scotty Harrison, Tony Brown, and Steven Andrews.
Robert was born in Emanuel County to the late Robert Milton Brown and Sarah Stephens Brown. He had worked for Sampson Manufacturing in the shipping department. Robert loved the Lord, and loved to sing and play the guitar, and was learning to play the fiddle. He enjoyed fishing and getting together with his family. Robert was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Midville.
Survivors include sisters, Shirley Paige Jones (Ron), Brenda Andrews (Freddie), Susan Drake Bishop (Wendell), Barbara Strange (Chan), and Beverly Harrison (Jimmy); brother, Richard Brown; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Arrangements were by Tomlinson Funeral Home and Crematory.
