You may wonder, where is the peace with so much discourse around us? To create confusion is to get rid of peace. Just know that confusion and division will keep peace from existing.
Now if you have any conversation today it will be some topic of discord.
We can start at home, work, church, or school. We have not gotten to the politics of our city, state, national and world governments. So, while things are happening in all of these entities, our peace lies within us. When you have the peace of God the inner man is at rest.
So why would we not have peace? Well, that's the device the enemy uses to accomplish his goal. In John 10:10 Jesus says, "For the thief comes only to steal, and kill and destroy; but I came that they might have life and have it more abundantly."(ERS)
So, this text let us know where the discourse comes from and where we can have abundant peace.
In John 14:27 Jesus tells us, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you…"(ERS).
Jesus has left you peace. So, receive him, for he is our peace. At the birth of Jesus, the angels proclaimed to the Shepherds, " Peace on earth and good will toward men.". Isiah 26:3. tells us that the Lord will keep us in Perfect Peace if we keep our minds on him, because we trust in him. So, all of the entities in which you have been searching for peace, you will only find rest and peace in Jesus. He is our Hope, he is our Peace.
