Mr. Olen Chance “O.C.” Hutcheson, 73, of Adrian, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2021, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Memorial service was held Sunday, March 21, at 3:30 p.m. in the chapel at Chapman Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Bedgood and Rev. George Salyer officiating. The family received friends from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Sunday, March 21, at Chapman Funeral Home. In compliance with the guidelines set by the CDC, 6-feet rule was enforced during service.
Mr. Hutcheson was born January 12, 1948, in Swainsboro, to the late Buford and Melba Darley Hutcheson. He was employed with the Emanuel Co. Road Department, and was a member of Corinth United Methodist Church. Mr. Hutcheson was a hardworking, loving, and gentle husband, father, brother, and friend. He enjoyed the outdoors, yardwork, and being with family. Mr. Hutcheson is preceded in death by his parents; brothers; Bobby and David Hutcheson; and granddaughter, Cadence Nicole Conley. 
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Phyllis Hutcheson of Adrian; son, Kevin (Tiffany) Hutcheson of Adrian; daughters, Karol (Brian) Key of Swainsboro, Krista Hutcheson of Swainsboro, and Keri Hutcheson of Kite; brothers, Billy (Maudell) Hutcheson of Dublin, Ray (Shelby Jean) Hutcheson of Adrian; sisters, Betty (Harvard) Hudson of Kite, Sue (Herman) Strange of Metter, Shirley Hudson of Swainsboro, Jan Brantley of Adrian, and Fay (Chesley) Flanders of Summertown; 10 grandchildren; 29 first cousins; 25 nieces and nephews; lots of great and great-great nieces and nephews. 
Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
