Swainsboro Middle School is excited to announce the winners of the Nordson Tech Time School Challenge! Through the collaboration of ELA and Science classes, students completed essays using research in the areas of Science, Technology, Math, Arts, and Sciences (STEAM).
Winners from sixth grade are Ethan Mason, Savannah Thompson, and Toriah Williams; seventh grade winners are Grayson Brassell, Ryan Hornsby, and Alleson Price; eighth grade winners are Jaidyn Eddins, Gwenasia Gardner, and Alexus Mercer.
Nordson Corporation designed this essay contest to encourage students to explore futures in STEAM careers. All winners received a prize pack that included a new Apple iPad. Thanks to high levels of student participation in the essay contest, Swainsboro Middle School also received a generous $1,000 grant from Nordson. This money will be used to promote future STEAM activities at the school.
