The Veterans at the Library held our weekly meeting on Monday, December 5, 2022, at 9:15 a.m. with Chair, Johnny Tapley, presiding and 40 veterans in attendance. The newest veteran to attend is Doyle John Tatum. Doyle was a member of the U.S. Army and served in World War II. He was stationed in England and landed at "Normandy" on DD + 2. He obtained the rank of Private in the "Infantry". Doyle will turn 98 on Tuesday, December 6, 2022. Other items taken up was the success of placing the flags out on the 5 cemeteries that will have the Wreaths Across America placed on December 17, 2022. As of today, there will be 1,319 Wreaths to place.
