Miss Smith, Mr. Padgett to exchange vows

Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Smith of Swainsboro proudly announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Miss Emily Rebecca Smith, to Mr. Cliff Coram Padgett of Savannah, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Padgett of Augusta.

The bride-elect graduated from the University of Georgia in 2018 with a Bachelor's of Business Administration in Accounting and in 2019 with a Master's in Accountancy. She is currently employed as a Certified Public Accountant at Hancock, Askew & Company in Savannah.

Miss Smith is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kidd of Reidsville, and Mrs. Vada Hunter of Sallisaw, Oklahoma and the late Mr. Buck Hunter, Mrs. Marion Cuttino of Fernandina Beach, FL and the late Mr. David Cuttino and Mrs. Melba Smith of Reidsville, and the late Mr. Clifford Smith.

The future groom graduated from Georgia Southern University in 2015 with a Bachelor's degree in Logistics and Marketing. He is currently employed by the Georgia Ports Authority in Savannah.

Mr. Padgett is the grandson of Ms. Peggy Coram Belger of Augusta and the late Clarence A. Belger, Sr., the late Sarah McKie Padgett DesCombes, the late Herbert Alexander Padgett of Augusta, and the late Charles Edward DesCombes of North Augusta, SC.

The wedding is planned for November 19, 2022, at Swainsboro First United Methodist Church. A reception will follow at Mont Royal Clubhouse.
