Miss Jackson, Mr. Shafer plan spring wedding

Alton and Jodi Reynolds and Mitch Jackson of Swainsboro are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Miss Maegan Nicole Jackson, to Mr. Cody James Shafer. He is the son of Bart and Gayle Shafer of Warrenville, South Carolina.

The bride-elect is a 2010 graduate of Swainsboro High School. She continued her education at East Georgia College, graduating with an associate degree. She then pursued and obtained her bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from Georgia Regents University in Augusta. She is currently employed by Belair Dental Associates in Evans as a dental hygienist.

Miss Jackson is the granddaughter of Dale and Sandra Wright, Carol Jackson, Terry and JoAnn Reynolds of Swainsboro, and the late Alvin Jackson. She is the great-granddaughter of Faye Sconyers and the late Sam Sconyers of Swainsboro.

The future groom is a 2011 graduate of Greenbrier High School. He continued his education at Georgia Regents University and obtained a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He is currently employed at Plant Vogtle as a field engineer.

Mr. Shafer is the grandson of Harry and Dee Wallace of Aiken, South Carolina, Linda Shafer of Bradenton, Florida, the late Jim Shafer, and the late Tommy and Dolores Kukoly of Saint Simons Island.

The wedding is set for May 16, 2020 at 5:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Swainsboro. A reception will follow at the Reynolds Clubhouse.
