Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ridgeway of Kite are excited to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Bethany Elizabeth Fortner, to Zachary Patrick Hughes of Adrian.
The bride-elect is a 2016 honor graduate of Johnson County High School, a 2018 Magna Cum Laude graduate of East Georgia State College, and a 2020 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Augusta University School of Nursing (BSN-RN). Miss Fortner is currently enrolled in the Augusta University DNP Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Program. She is employed as a Neonatal ICU Nurse at Children’s Hospital of Georgia. Miss Fortner is the granddaughter of Henry and Phyllis Bussell of Warthen.
The future groom is a 2016 graduate of Treutlen County High School and a 2018 graduate of East Georgia State College. He is currently employed at US Silica in Millen as a Quality Control Technician. Mr. Hughes is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Hughes of Adrian. He is the grandson of Ed and Sheri Brown of Adrian, Michael and Lori Thigpen of East Dublin, and the late Margaret Elaine Hughes of Soperton.
A private ceremony is set for November 20, 2021.
