Miss Cassidy Curry and Mr. Kyle Cannady were united in a double ring ceremony at Swainsboro First Methodist Church on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 2 p.m. David Oliver of Wrightsville led the exchanging of nuptials.

The bride is the daughter of Marc and Kerry Curry of Swainsboro. Her grandparents are Dollie Kirkland and Cherry Curry, both of Swainsboro. The groom is the son of Wayne and Judy Cannady of Swainsboro.

Alisa Scott, friend of the bride, directed the wedding. Mrs. Cannady chose to wear her mother’s mermaid style wedding dress of white stain with an attached train. She wore her hair up in a loose knotting with jewel pins. Mrs. Cannady’s bouquet was a cascade style mixture of hot pink and pale pink roses, pink peonies, and white Queen Ann’s lace white wax flower with variegated pittosporum seeded eucalyptus greenery. She was escorted by her mother and father and given in marriage by her father.

The church was decorated with ferns provided by Southern Traditions and white bows placed on the ends of the pews. Music was provided by Kelli Torpy.

Mrs. Cannady chose her best friend and college roommate, Katelyn Law of Americus, as her Maid of Honor. Katelyn wore an ankle length hot pink dress and carried a smaller version of the bride’s bouquet. Mr. Cannady chose his father, Wayne Cannady, as his best man.

The bride’s mother wore a knee length flutter sleeve soft pink dress of metallic knit and the groom’s mother wore a knee length soft blue dress as their attire.

The reception was held in the Social Hall of the church following the ceremony, hosted by the bride’s parents. Guests were greeted by Alisa Scott. Tables were adorned with small vases of multi-colored flowers as centerpieces. The bride’s cake was a three tier with white frosting adorned by flowers matching the bridal bouquet, made by Patti Hendley and served by Alisa Scott. The groom’s cake was golf themed, made by Donna Newsome.

The couple went to St. Simons Island for the weekend with plans for a honeymoon later in the year. Mr. and Mrs. Cannady will make their home in Swainsboro.

A rehearsal dinner was hosted Friday, June 2, at Coleman’s Lake Restaurant, hosted by the groom’s parents.
