This year at SPS, students have been rewarded for the number of words they read. After taking an Accelerated Reader quiz on a book, the program counts their words read. “Miss” Chawny Stewart’s first grade class recently read over one million words together as a class! Their goal was to make it to one million words read before the end of the year, and they did it! As of Friday, April 22, they had read 1,112,365 words this school year.
