Mr. Milton R. Womack, 73, of Swainsboro, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at Emanuel Medical Center following an extended illness. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 21, in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend Jim Harrell officiating. Interment followed in Swainsboro City Cemetery. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 20, at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Trent Womack, Bailey Womack, Wade Womack, Chris Womack, Christopher Hooks, and Zach Womack.

Mr. Womack was born September 1, 1948, in Millen, to Garth D. Womack and Irene Joiner Womack Free. He was a 1968 graduate of Emanuel County Institute. Milton loved his children and family, and he enjoyed coaching kids. Milton was a handyman, enjoyed yard work, tinkering around the house, and fish fries. He was very passionate about the Georgia Bulldogs and Braves baseball, and would jump up and down, screaming and shouting. Mr. Womack is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Daniel Womack; and sister, Nancy McCarter.

Mr. Womack is survived by his wife, Bonnie H. Womack of Swainsboro; sons, Mike Womack (Christy) of Nunez, Trent Womack of New Mexico, Wade Womack and Bailey Womack, both of Swainsboro; daughters, Amanda Braddy of Swainsboro; sisters, Linda Hall of Jesup, Miriam Hardy (Vernon) of Swainsboro; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
