Mildred Royal Poole, 87

Mildred Royal Poole departed from this life, after a decline in health, on December 28, 2020, at the Emanuel Medical Center. Graveside service was held Saturday, January 2, 2021, at 12 p.m. in the Swainsboro City Cemetery with Bishop Bertha Jones officiating.
Ms. Poole was born November 9, 1933, in Toombs County to the late Randall Royal and Mary Magdalene Williams. She was reared and educated in the Emanuel County School system. Ms. Poole relocated to Miami, FL, where she lived for many years working as a domestic caretaker for families. She returned to Swainsboro in the early 2000s, living independently until she could no longer do so. Her last residence was the Pruitt Health Nursing Home in Swainsboro, where she was tended to with care and compassion. Mildred never met a stranger and was always filled with jokes and laughter. She was an avid reader and enjoyed working crossword puzzles. Ms. Poole is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ezell Poole; and sister, Myrtice L. McNair.
Those left to cherish her memories are three nieces, Frances McNair of Brooklyn, NY, Lynn White (Freddie) of Landham, MD, and Beverly Herndon (Obadiah) of Douglasville; adopted son, Larry Wilson of Lakeland, FL; great-nieces, great-great nephews, relatives, and friends.
Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
