Middle School Eagles lose game by two points to Fullington Trojans

David Emanuel Academy’s Middle School football team hosted Fullington Academy on Tuesday, August 31. Kickoff began at 6 p.m. and ended with an Eagle loss, 32-40.

Brody Fleming was the first middle school Eagle to add points to the scoreboard by completing a 50-yard run. A 2-point conversion play from Richard Braddy to Bryan Beasley deemed favor for the Eagle team.

Fleming ran a 1-yard play, completing another Eagle touchdown. The 2-point play from Braddy to John-Nathan Martin was deemed good, adding more leverage for the Eagles.

KaRon Gray completed a 12-yard run followed by a 28-yard run, sealing two additional Eagle touchdowns for the middle school team. Braddy followed each Gray touchdown with 2-point play, with both plays successfully completed.

The Eagles will travel to compete against John Hancock Academy tomorrow, September 9. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. Be sure to check out next week’s edition of The Blade for the latest Eagle updates!
