Mr. Mickey Lee Stevens, age 59, of Broxton, passed away early Thursday morning, March 23, 2023, at Vista Park Health and Rehabilitation. The funeral service was held Saturday, March 25, at 3 p.m. at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Braswell officiating. Interment followed at Broxton City Cemetery. The family received friends Saturday, March 25, from 2 until 3 p.m. the time of the service at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home.
Mr. Stevens was born September 27, 1963, to Lois Crenshaw Stevens and the late Hampie Stevens. A native of Emanuel County, he had been a truck driver for Griffin Warehouse for a number of years. Mickey was a member of Broxton Baptist Church. Mr. stevens is preceded in death by his father; and sister, Rita Thompson.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Dawn Gibbs Stevens of Broxton; three children, Lehi Stevens (Amber) of Douglas, Jay Merritt of Broxton, and Morgan Merritt (LeAnna) of Broxton; his mother of Swainsboro; two brothers, Ricky Stevens and Mark Stevens (Lynn), both of Swainsboro; five grandchildren, Alaina Stevens and Harli Stevens, both of Douglas, Ian Merritt, Noah Merritt and Millie Merritt, all of Broxton; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
