ONE WILL BE ‘MISS HOMECOMING OF 1961’
A highlight of the homecoming activities was the crowning of a queen in chapel exercises. Candidates for the title of “Miss SHS Homecoming of 1961” were Myra Youngblood and Patricia McDuffie.

WINNERS
Dorsey Flanders, Jr. was awarded a college scholarship in his 4-H electric project at the State 4-H Congress in Atlanta. Glada Hooks was first place winner in gardening and attended the national 4-H Congress in Chicago, and Tyron Spearman won first place in cotton marketing and was awarded $60.
