Plans were completed for the “Man of the Year in Conservation” program. Herman Talmadge, United States Senator from Georgia, was the principal speaker for the occasion.

Ralph Edwards, noted TV personality of “This Is Your Life,” is shown above with Mrs. Jack Jenkins and Mrs. D.E. Flanders of Swainsboro. The group met at the Georgia Cancer Convention held in Atlanta. Mr. Edwards was one of the principal speakers.
