From the Nov. 25, 1981 edition of The Forest-Blade:
That’s the first thing that comes to mind about these cute kindergarteners in their outfits depicting the first Thanksgiving. At Twin City United Methodist Kindergarten, the students were learning about that first holiday that took place many years ago when the Pilgrims and Indians feasted in thanksgiving after their first harvest. The Indian pictured is Chuck Elliott and the Colonial lasses are Brandy Hudson and Alison Johnson.
JUST IN TIME
Ann McLeod, third grader at SPS, put finishing touches on her Thanksgiving “turkey” just in time to decorate her room during the Thanksgiving holidays. The turkey project was under direction of Mrs. Miriam Fagler, teacher.
