PATSY IS FINALIST IN CONTEST
Miss Patsy Edenfield, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Edenfield of Swainsboro, participated in the state finals of the Miss Georgia Poultry Princess Contest. Miss Edenfield, a senior at SHS was one of five finalists in an area preliminary contest held in Rome, Ga. She was chosen following a beauty revue and an interview with judges. 

LOCAL DEALER NAMED TO HIGH POST IN GADA
A local automobile dealer was elected secretary-treasurer of the Georgia Automobile Dealers Association. James H. Morgan of Franklin-Overstreet & Co. was elected at the group’s annual meeting at the General Oglethorpe Hotel near Savannah.
