L.L. JOYNER RESIGNED; TOOK POST AT GEORGIA SOUTHERN
Lloyd L. Joyner, Jr., principal of Emanuel County Institute of Twin City since 1956, tendered his
Resignation to accept the post of Registrar at Georgia Southern College in Statesboro. In addition to his principal duties at ECI, Mr. Joyner held a number of posts in area school associations and groups. He was president of the First District High School Principals Association, 1960-61, and was executive secretary of Region 2-B, Georgia High School Association, sine 1957.



LAYTON TO SPEAK AT POSTMASTER MEET
Carl Layton, national president of the National League of Postmasters, was among the guest speakers at the annual convention of the Georgia branch of the organization May 21-23 at the Gen-Oglethorpe Hotel on Wilmington Island, Savannah. The league had been serving postmasters since 1904.
