Champion ‘Twirler’ Will Perform Here on Friday
Miss Barbra Emminger, former “Miss Majorette of America” and world’s champion two-baton twirler will appear as guest soloist with the Swainsboro High School Band in the annual Spring Concert to be held on Friday, May 11 at 8:00 p.m.
SHS Tennis Team Journey For State Meet
Swainsboro High School’s boys double tennis team will journey to Macon Thursday to defend its 1961 State Class A Championship. Returning from last year’s title squad is Billy Willis. Bob Yarbrough moves up to take Jack Rich’s place. Don English, Student teacher, is tennis coach.
