TEACHER SWAP

Laura Stone, second from left, appears to be having a more difficult time adjusting to a change of teachers than her twin sister, Sarah. The preschoolers at Swainsboro First United Methodist Church Kindergarten had a party for “Miss” Cindy Sewell on her last day, Wednesday. “Miss” Sue Anderson assumed teaching duties for Mrs. Sewell, whose family is moving to Hall County. Children in “Miss” Gail Thompson’s class also participated in the party.

PILOT TREE

With assistance from Gordon Nail, members of Pilot Club of Emanuel County gathered at Harmon Park Wednesday afternoon to plant a Kwanzan Cherry tree in memory of the late Janena Lawson. Pilot member Ida Pearl Lawson is mother of the late Mrs. Lawson.
