Midget All-Stars
Swainsboro-Emanuel County Parks and Recreation Department’s Midget All-Stars were among those teams participating in the First District Recreation tournament in Statesboro. Members of the team were Ruthie Lee Taylor, Phyllis Jones, Lynn Whitehead, Debra Coleman, Brenda Durden, Daphene Baldwin, Katherine Brown, Janice Hampton, Debbie Little, Kay Scarboro, Debbie Wyatt, Donna Brinson, and Teresa Daniels.

…and omni makes it safer!
Airplane pilots flying in the Swainsboro area are safer now. That’s because a new very high frequency omni-directional range (VOR) facility has been installed at the Emanuel County Airport in Swainsboro at a cost of $29,177. It’s the first of this particular type to be operated in Georgia.
