Mrs. Emma S. Marshburn of Swainsboro was reelected vice president of the Georgia Heart Association’s First District Chapter during the group’s annual meeting in Savannah.

A delegation of Emanuel County Home Demonstration Club Women returned from the 26th Annual Conference of the Georgia Home Demonstration Council at Rock Eagle 4-H Club Center near Eatonton. Included in the Emanuel County delegation were Mrs. John W. Kent, Mrs. T. Wesley Bailey, Mrs. Gerald Williams, Mrs. J.D. Durden, Mrs. E.A Drake, Mrs. Tom Pullen, Mrs. Emma Durden, Mrs. Sara Cowart, and Mrs. Loree Hooks, with Mrs. Louise Cowart, Home Demonstration Agent and Mrs. Julia Frazier, Asst. Agent as advisors.
