CAMERON IS NAMED MANAGER
Jim Cameron was named manager of Swainsboro Coca-Cola Company. He came to Swainsboro from the Augusta Coca-Cola Company, where he was route supervisor for the company, and was affiliated with Coca-Cola for the past seven years.



THE BLADE HONORED
The U.S. Army Recruiting Main Station in Atlanta awarded The Forest-Blade a Certificate of Appreciation “in recognition of outstanding public service support relating to the procurement of personnel for the U.S. Army”. Publisher Bill Rogers accepted the certificate from Sgt. M.L. Dryden, local recruiting officer, who presented it on behalf of the Atlanta Main Station.
