SHS Tigers poised for a run
The Swainsboro Tigers took both games this past week with ease and are starting to hum like a well-oiled machine. It took some time for their true identity to emerge as they struggled with consistency early in the season, but as the regular season draws to a close this week, they appear ready for the test.
The Smack Down on SMS wrestling
The 2010-2011 wrestling season at SMS was a great success. The team competed in weekly duals against Dublin, Vidalia, West Laurens, East Laurens, Dodge County, and Toombs County. The region tournament was held January 28, 2011, at West Laurens High School with seven teams participating. Members of the SMS Wrestling team are as follows: Chris Atkinson, Cody Atkinson, Vincent Gomez, Jacori Culbreth, Jyreal Jackson, Zykell Brown, Clyde Fowler, Rodunshae Carlton, Keon Burke, Darrel Royal, Timothy Stanford, Seth Anders, Quarvell Harris, and Jackson Edenfield. Coaches are Justin Coleman, Chase Marsh, Christopher Moore, and Kristy Clemens.
