SWAINSBORO BOYS BASKETBALL WINS REGION CHAMPIONSHIP
The Swainsboro High School Boys basketball team defeated Tattnall County High School 57 - 45 for the Region 2AAA championship title. Rocky Thrice was the game’s leading scorer, dropping 17 of the Tigers 57 points. Tavarous Smith added 13 points, with Colby Williams adding 9.
Lady Tigers Finish in Undefeated Region Play, Capture Championship
The Swainsboro High School Lady Tigers basketball team finished off an undefeated season in region play by defeating the Liberty County Lady Panthers 59 - 46 for the Region 2AAA Girls Region Championship. Shayla Roberts was the game’s leading scorer, racking out 25 points in Saturday night’s game. The other leading scores for the Lady Tigers were Nicky Robinson with 14 points and Maria Branch with 8 points.
