BROWN, WILLIAMS, RECEIVE SWAINSBORO TECH SCHOLARSHIPS
Herbert Brown and Sam Williams Jr. received scholarships to attend Swainsboro Tech. The scholarships were awarded by Emanuel County Retired Teachers Association. The two young men were 1991 graduates of the Emanuel County School System, Herbert from SHS and Williams from ECI. Mrs. Grace Smith represented the association and presented certificates of scholarship to the recipients at STC. Dale Renfroe, director of enrollment services, coordinated student admissions and the scholarship programs.
DEFENSE TACTICS
SHS’s defensive line coach Bobby Andrews gave pointers to his Tiger football players on “tough: defense tactics during afternoon practice drills. The Tigers were making preparations for the 1991 football season.
