Airport Extension is Planned

Extensive improvements, expansion and acquisition of additional land is being planned for Emanuel county airport. The proposed project involves constructing a 3200 foot crosswind runway. Extending the existing runway and taxiway each 800 feet, install a medium intensity runway lighting, widening the existing runway to 100 feet.

Donna Hooks Places Second in Contest

Miss Donna Hooks has been judged for tomorrow in our little Miss pageant at Metter. The seven-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hooks of Swainsboro, she is eligible to compete for the State Little Miss title in Savannah. She is a student at David Emanuel Academy, Stillmore.
