Miss Edenfield Selected for Role in Spring Play

Miss Patsy Edenfield, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Edenfield of Swainsboro, has been chosen to play a role in the spring production of Waltz of the Toreadors at the University of Georgia. Miss Edenfield is an English speech major and is one of two freshmen who were chosen for a role.

Local FFA Group is Rated High in Forest Contest

The vocational agriculture advisor of Swainsboro High School, W. A. Avery has been notified that this F.F.A chapter’s school forest will be in the preliminary judging of the forestry program co-sponsored by Union Bag Camp Paper Corporation and the Georgia Department of agriculture education. This means the local chapter's forestry program is among the best in the state and is eligible to compete for prizes awarded by Union Camp.
