Mrs. Luanne Steptoe Miller, 80, of Adrian, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022, at Emanuel Medical Center following an extended illness. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, November 23, in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend Brad McKenzie officiating. Interment followed in Sardis Baptist Cemetery. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were David Hopkins, Tim Steptoe, Chris Wilkerson, Tony Hutcheson, Ricky Henry, and Mitchell Moore.

Mrs. Miller was born December 3, 1941, in Swainsboro, to Clifton B. Steptoe and Annie Mae Jackson Steptoe. She was a simple, plain Jane, who enjoyed spending time with her family, woodwork, sewing, yardwork, cooking, and spending time outdoors. Mrs. Miller enjoyed doing cabinetry work for 31 years. Also known as Ma-Ma, Granny, Granny-Goo, and Little Granny, she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and always sacrificed for her family. Mrs. Miller is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 43 years, Faley Leo Miller; brothers, Lonzie Steptoe, Bill Steptoe, Toofy Steptoe, Jack Steptoe, Dean Steptoe, and David Steptoe; and lifelong friend, Syble Curl.

Mrs. Miller is survived by her son, Richard Miller (Prissy) of Dublin; daughters, Debbie Stockholm (James) of Wrightsville and Tammy Miller (Michael) of Adrian; grandchildren, Jessica Cooney, Nina Howell, Len Miller (Maria), Blake Stockholm, Angel Stevens (Jonathan), Champ Averett, and Luke Miller; special friend, Pat Edenfield; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
