My name is Malachi Lockett, and I am excited to announce my candidacy as a write-in candidate for the vacant District 5 Council seat. I was born and raised in Swainsboro, where I developed a strong sense of community. I have been married to my wife, Alicia, for twenty-seven years, and we have two daughters and three grandchildren who bring us joy.
I graduated from Swainsboro High School in 1993 and attended South University for three and a half years. As a veteran of the United States Navy, I developed strong leadership skills and a commitment to serving others. My faith as a devout Christian has profoundly shaped my life. Currently, I have been serving as the pastor at Believers in Action, Inc. in Soperton for the past eight years. I am running for District 5 because I am passionate about people and eager to create positive change. I am dedicated to listening to residents, understanding their needs, and advocating for solutions that promote growth and a better quality of life for all. Together, we can build a brighter future for District 5.
