Let Your Love Flow

As we continue to explore some basic things about the greatest thing on earth, which is love, my mind reflected on a scripture text. It just kept coming to my mind. That is, "the love of many shall wax cold". In the hour that we are living in, we need love to flow.

Now this text comes from Matthew 24:12. It was in reference to the end of the world. Jesus told his disciples that this would be a sign of his return. He said that because sin would be rampant, that the love of many would wax or get cold. Now sin causes love to stop flowing. In order for our love to flow, let's examine ourselves.

See, we need love to flow in our hearts so it can reach others. Everyone needs love. Everyone needs God for God is Love. Now that we know that we are at the end of time, according to the scriptures, we need more love. So will you begin with the small things, yet they are big. Things like greeting one another, like we once did. You know, just a simple "hello", "how are you today", "may God bless you". Yes, you will be different, yes you will look strange, but someone needs that hello, how are you, may God bless you. So, take the risk. Trust God. Love is free. Love is not love until you give it away. Remember John 3:16, "For God loved the world so much that he gave his only begotten Son…". Yes, love gives.

So let your love flow to others. Those who you have not been accepting. Those who don't look like you. Those who are not in your circle. Those who are not in your "class". Those who you feel are not as gifted or talented as you are. So, you say you are " blessed, then bless others. Release the sin of hatred and selflessness. Heat up that love which has waxed cold with the fire of the Holy Spirit. Righteousness will get your love flowing.

So let your love flow. For it is the answer for your life, your family's life, the life of the community and the world. Remember to check your love gauge. Let Your Love Flow. What the world needs now is Love.
